Welcome to your new template! The Quiz Whiz: Jungle Edition eLearning features a dynamic design that allows you to use it as a stand-alone quiz or a full-fledged course.

You can keep the name of the game or remove the Game Title Image and replace it with your own.

Pro Tip:

We have locked most of the components on the slides to make editing as simple as possible. If you’d like to make a customization to a locked item, simply check the Timeline and unlock it.

Remember: Most of the slides are duplicated throughout the template, so if you make an edit to one, be sure to add the same edits to the other slides.

Instructions & Objectives

It probably goes without saying, but your instructions and objectives should be completely customized to your needs. The gameplay is pretty straightforward:

Pro Tip: To ensure your instructions reflect the learner experience, we recommend coming in and adding your instructions as one of the final steps of the development process.

How to play:

  1. Select a category

  2. Complete the content

  3. Answer the (quiz/knowledge check) question

  4. Repeat until you’ve covered all 12 categories.

Categories

The Learner will navigate through the course by reviewing the 12 categories.

While planning your content, we recommend starting by segmenting your content into 12 categories. We know this could potentially be too much of a stretch or too restricting, but selecting 12 categories is pretty essential to maintaining the integrity of the gameplay.

Note: We have designed this template to allow Learners to select and complete categories at random; it’s a fun little way to give them a bit of autonomy in how they learn and experience the content.

Also note that while Learners are able to open and revisit the categories in any order, they will only receive points the first time they get the answer to the question correctly.

Once the Learner has completed all 12 categories, a “Next” button will appear in the bottom right corner that helps them progress to the Your Score slide.

Quiz Slides

Here is your quiz question slide! There are a lot of elements, so here’s a quick breakdown:

Jung 3.png

  1. Scoreboard - In the top left corner is the scoreboard. Learners will receive 1000 points every time they get a question correct.

  2. Information Button - The information button is in the top right corner; you can use this space to add instructions on how to complete the course or as hints to your questions. Be sure to fill out this space and duplicate it on all of the information slides throughout the course.

  3. Category Name - This label is an opportunity to tie this slide to the categories slide by duplicating the name of the category here.

  4. Question Panel - Use the question panel to present Learners with a prompt to respond to.

  5. A-D Response Hotspots - The triggers that move the course to a Correct/Incorrect slide are linked to these hotspots. Feel free to hop into the Timeline and hide them in order to edit the response panels behind them.

  6. A-D Response Panels - After hiding the hotspots, you will be able to add a variety of response options to response panels. The panel that will result in a Correct answer and 1000 points added to the scoreboard are listed in the name of the slide.

Note: If you make edits to one of the gameboards, be sure to replicate those edits on all of the others.

Feedback Layers - The Correct Layer

The “Correct” layer is where the points are configured, just in case you are looking for them.

And in case you’re wondering, nothing happens with the points when the Learner reaches the “Incorrect layer.”

Be sure always to end your Learners' experience on the correct/incorrect slides so that they can navigate back to the categories slide to continue the course.

Content Layers

When we initially designed this template, it was supposed to be a quiz-only design. However… we thought, why not give you the option to make the most of this template by adding content layers to the quiz-question slides???

So we did.

You will notice that the course is configured only to show the base layer, but you can easily add content such as information text, multi-media, and interactions by adding a trigger to the trigger panel to “Show layer at start of time.”

This gives you the ability to add as many content layers as you’d like, just be sure to add a button to the last content layer that sends them to the base layer to answer the question, view the correct/incorrect slides, and be taken back to the categories slide to continue through the course.

Your Score

After completing all categories and corresponding slides, the Learner will be taken to a slide displaying their final score.

You can configure this slide to prohibit Learners from exiting based on their score; however, that will require a more advanced level of customization. If you need support with this, don’t hesitate to reach out!

End Game

The End Game slide is another opportunity to customize the look and feel of the End Game graphic to match the look and feel of the Game Title Image at the beginning of the template.

We hope you enjoyed using this template and please feel free to share your requests and feedback by sending us an email to [email protected].

Recommendation: Your course template was designed with the necessary navigation placed directly on the slide. We recommend removing the menu and player options for the best Learner experience.
